Terrapins Beat Ohio State, 2-0

Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Maryland (2-1) beat Ohio State, 2-0, Friday afternoon at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. Six saves from senior goalkeeper Noelle Frost helped preserve the Terps' second shutout.

"We had some very strong segments and thankfully, in the fourth quarter, we played very good possession hockey," head coach Missy Meharg said. "Really proud of the women. Ohio State had a lot of penalty corners and the way Noelle Frost played in cage gave us the outcome."

Kyler Greenwalt put the Terps on the board when Brooke DeBerdine drove in from the right side and fed her the ball just 3:54 into the match.

Riley Donnelly made it a two-goal lead when she buried a penalty stroke in the final minute of play.

Ohio State (0-2) took 10 penalty corners to two for Maryland. The Buckeyes took 10 shots to the Terps' six.
