Margot Lawn ’23 Earns Spot On U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Margot Lawn ('23) has been named to the U.S. Women's National Indoor Team announced in January.

Margot Lawn continues to represent Maryland field hockey on the national stage after being named to the U.S. Women's National Indoor Team by head coach Joep Van Der Coelen. A key contributor for the Terps, Lawn led Maryland during the 2023 season with 30 points, recording nine goals and 12 assists, and earned Big Ten All-Second Team honors for her performance.

Lawn will be joined by another Terp connection on the indoor staff, as Maddy Sposito serves as the Associate Head Coach of the U.S. Women's National Indoor Team, a role she was named to in June 2025. "I am super excited to see the level, enthusiasm, effort, and fun we have seen during the tryouts," said Sposito. "It's a great sign for the future of the U.S. Women's National Indoor Team.

The Indoor National Team is set to compete in the Big Apple International Indoor Championship from February 27–March 1, followed by the CanAm Indoor Series on March 14–15.
