Champaign, Ill. – The Maryland Outdoor track and field team competed on day two of competition at the Big Ten Relays hosted by Illinois with several Terps earning individual and relay podium finishes.

Women's Notes

• Senior Angel Nkwonta placed first in the Women's Shot Put Open with a mark of 16.17m. This is the third best mark in Terps history. 
• Kamryn Henderson (13.80m) and Sarah George (12.77m) also competed for the Terps in the Women's Shot Put.
• The Women's Sprint Medley team (Jaida Smith, Cheyenne Jones, Nadia Hackett and Kami Joi Hickson) earned a third place finish.

 
Men's Notes

• Freshman Hayden Tobias took third place in the Men's Hammer Throw Open with a mark of 48.03m. Tobias also competed in the Men's Discus Throw with a mark of 44.19m.
• Jeff Kline competed in the Men's Discus Throw earning a mark of 45.62.
• The Men's Sprint Medley Relay team (Kamari Trotz, Brian Evans, Max Myers and Brady Snelson) took third place.
• The Men's 4x400 team (Brian Evans, Kobe Simpson, Aaron Robinson and Colin Rowe) closed out the meet, racing to a third place finish (3:11.94).

"Finishing out the meet with a strong showing in the field events and relays on the track was a great way to end the weekend for the team."
