Zusi Returns in History Making Appearance for Sporting KC
- One of the longest tenured Terps in MLS, Graham Zusi made his return to the Sporting Kansas City lineup Sunday after seven months away due to a foot injury. It was his 295th regular seson appearance for SKC, a new club record for regular season appearances. He's made 348 total appearances for the MLS original side. Zusi played 54 minutes in a 2-1 win over expansion side Austin FC.
- Zusi is among the most accomplished players of his generation in the United States. The Florida native has won an MLS Cup, three US Open Cups and is a seven-time MLS All-Star. Zusi has been named to the MLS Best XI twice and has played for the US Men's National Team 55 times, including at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Di Rosa Makes Successful Debut for Charleston Battery
- Ben Di Rosa, now with Charleston Battery in the USL Championship, made his professional debut in the club's 1-1 draw with New York Red Bulls II last week.
- Di Rosa played all 90 minutes and earned Man of the Match plaudits from USLChampionship.com, who tossed praised on the debutant's performance:Â "Di Rosa looked sharp in his professional debut, coming up to record two shots from right back and completing 30 of 38 passes while recording 15 recoveries"
