Data Analytics Assistant

The Maryland Athletic department is seeking a Data Analytics Assistant to assist with data analysis and strategies. This position will work closely with the Terrapin Club, Marketing Strategy & Fan Experience, and Ticket Office units. This is a part-time position paid $15/hour for 15-20 hours per week. The successful candidate will help Maryland Athletics in their goal to more effectively and efficiently reach its stakeholders, alumni, fans, and students through turning data into actionable information.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Design and create advanced metrics, reports and dashboards to drive a deeper understanding of the departments business and support sound, data-driven decision making.
  • Responsible for Football, Men's Basketball & Women's Basketball Survey Creation, Deployment, & Analysis.
  • Responsible for Ticket Sales Budget Reporting.
  • Identify ticket purchasers, annual fund and major gift donors through data analysis.
  • Scan data analysis from events.
  • Manage and update the data warehouse, email database, & CRM.
  • Individual will create a Data Year in Review.
  • Assist with technical data components with SSB partnership.
Skills and Software Proficiencies:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with emphasis on translating data analysis into easy to understand tactics and insights
  • SQL proficiency
  • Proficiency in various reporting and analytics tools, such as Tableau, R, Domo, Excel, Power BI and/or others is preferred
