The Coordinator of Program and Curriculum Design will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Development, and will be responsible for the guidance of the life skills curriculum and development of the entire student-athlete population. As a primary role, this position will develop curriculum, content, and processes that meet the learning needs of the student-athletes in Kubasik First Impact program, the I.M.P.A.C.T. (Individual Mentoring Program Assisting Career Transition) program and collaborate with large scale career readiness programs.

This position will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Student-Athlete Development unit and support the administration with organizational creation and planning through meetings with the Maryland Made Team, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Gossett Student-Athlete Center. This individual will facilitate one-on-one student-athlete meetings for career readiness, identity development and leadership education. The Coordinator of Program & Curriculum Design will serve on selected campus, conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) committees as requested and cultivate relationships with internal and external constituencies and perform other duties as assigned.

Master's degree required in higher education, sports management, student affairs or related field. One (1) to three (3) years in higher education, non-profit and/or corporate management environment. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing an identity development transition program. Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives for diverse student-athlete populations. The ability to manage competing priorities, handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, and complete assignments on time. Ability to work collaboratively and to maintain effective interpersonal relationships with coaches, student-athletes, staff, university and external constituencies. Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and problem solving techniques.

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing student-athletes. Experience working in student-athlete development within NCAA Division I athletics program. Demonstrated experience in using social media to support educational and outreach initiatives.

Knowledge and experience working with learning and development program designs (creating/researching, implementing, and facilitating user-based curriculum).
