COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Terrapins volleyball team completed its annual Red-White Scrimmage on Friday night in front of over 400 fans in the XFINITY Center Pavilion.
The two sides split the match with a pair of sets apiece as student-athletes swapped teams between sets in order to maximize the scrimmage. This marked the first time putting on a Maryland uniform for the Terps' four freshmen and four transfers.
It also marked the first time any of the underclassmen had played in front of the Maryland fanbase.Â
The regular season officially begins with the Maryland Invitational beginning August 27 against Virginia. The following day, August 28, the Terps will face Central Connecticut State and Hofstra. Check HERE for ticket information and HERE to see the full schedule.
The Terps will then return home the weekend of Sept. 17 for their final nonconference matches before embarking on their Big Ten schedule starting Sept. 24.Â
