Solomon Eye Terp of the Week: Caleb Dean

COLLEGE PARK, MD -  Each week during the 2021-22 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Terp of the Week.

This week's Solomon Eye Terp of the Week is junior Caleb Dean of Men's Track and Field.

 

Caleb Dean was on a record breaking streak at the Rod McCravy Invite this weekend. On day one of competition, Dean set a personal record of 6.73s in the 60m dash, tying the all time program record. Dean also raced to a 21.22s finish in the 200m, the second fastest time in program history. His success continued throughout the weekend, and on day two of competition Dean broke the program record in the semifinals of the 60m dash with a personal record sprint of 6.68s, beating his own program record set the day before. Caleb Dean and the Terps Track and Field teams will continue their indoor season at the Dr. Sanders Invite this Friday (2/4) and Saturday (2/5).
