COLLEGE PARK, Md. -Â No. 2 Maryland kicks of their quest for a third Big Ten Tournament Championship as they face No.20 Ohio State. The Terps will match up against the Buckeyes in the first round on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m., the game will available live on B1G+.

series history
- Thursday will mark the 19th overall matchup between the Terps and Buckeyes and the second game this season. The Terps hold a 18-0 record all-time and a 5-0 advantage in Columbus, OH.
- Maryland claimed a 4-2 victory in Columbus on Friday, Sept. 16, as the Terps scored three fourth quarter goals to overcome an early 2-1 deficit.
- Maryland last met Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament during the 2018 season, taking a 9-1 victory over the Buckeyes in the semifinal matchup. The Terps went on to win the championship with a 2-1 victory over Iowa.

- Maryland is seeking its third Big Ten Tournament Championship since joining the conference in 2014, claiming their last tournament title in 2018.
- The Terps have won six Big Ten Championships over their nine season in the conference.
- Since joining the league in 2014, the Terps are 69-20 (.793) in conference play, including a 10-6 record in the Big Ten TournamentÂ
- The Terrapins won their first Big Ten Tournament title with a 5-1 win over second-seeded and 10th-ranked Michigan on Nov. 8, 2015 in the final. Welma Luus scored four goals in the match and broke a Tournament record with seven in the three-game run.

- Coach Missy Meharg enters her 35th season at the helm of the Terps, having led her squads to a record of 621-158-9 with a winning percentage of over 79 percent
- The nine-time National Coach of the Year has amassed 19 Final Fours, 12 NCAA title game appearances and seven NCAA Championships over her tenure
- This past season, Meharg became just the third Division I head coach to reach the 600-win mark. Her 605 wins are the most-ever by any Maryland coach in history across all sports
- Meharg has coached 56 All-Americans, 19 Conference Player of the Year recipients and six of her former student-athletes were named National Player of the Year
Best of the Best on the horizon
- The Terps play an impressive 18-game slate, consisting of 10 non-conference games and 8 conference games.
- Maryland will host 10 home games in 2022 including the 22nd annual Terrapin Invitational.
- The Terrapins will once again play one of the most difficult schedules in the nation playing 12 teams ranked in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Pre-Season Top 25 including 10 ranked in the Top 15.
