COLLEGE PARK, Md. -Â No. 2 Maryland continues their quest for a third Big Ten Tournament Championship as they face No. 4 Northwestern. The Terps will match up against the Wildcats in the second round on Friday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m., the game will be available live on Big Ten Network.

- Thursday will mark the 31th overall matchup between the Terps and Wildcats and the second game this season. Maryland holds a 19-11 series advantage all-time.
- Maryland claimed a 2-1 overtime win in Evanston, Ill. on Sunday, Oct. 2 with Dani Van Rootselaar scoring the game-winning goal.
- Maryland last met Northwestern in the Big Ten Tournament during the 2016 season, taking a 3-2 overtime victory over the Wiildcats in the semifinal matchup.

- Maryland is seeking its third Big Ten Tournament Championship since joining the conference in 2014, claiming their last tournament title in 2018.

- Since joining the league in 2014, the Terps are 70-20 (.793) in conference play, including a 11-6 record in the Big Ten TournamentÂ

- Coach Missy Meharg is in the midst of her 35th season at the helm of the Terps, having led her squads to a record of 622-158-9 with a winning percentage of over 79 percent
- The nine-time National Coach of the Year has amassed 19 Final Fours, 12 NCAA title game appearances and seven NCAA Championships over her tenure
- This past season, Meharg became just the third Division I head coach to reach the 600-win mark. Her 622 wins are the most-ever by any Maryland coach in history across all sports
- Meharg has coached 56 All-Americans, 19 Conference Player of the Year recipients and six of her former student-athletes were named National Player of the Year
Taking on the Best of the Best
- The Terps played an impressive 18-game slate, consisting of 10 non-conference games and 8 conference games.
