College Park, MD -- Head Coach Missy Meharg and assistant coaches Scott Tupper and Kasey Tapman Asper of the Maryland field hockey program were named as the All-Mid Atlantic Region Teams Coaching Staff of the Year, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

The trio led an impressive 2022 campaign that saw the Terps earn a 19-4 overall record, including a perfect 10-0 mark in College Park, Maryland. Maryland went 7-1 across their Big Ten schedule, clinching the 2022 Big Ten Championship with a 4-3 win over Rutgers on Oct. 16.

The Terrapins earned the NCAA Tournament's No. 3 overall seed and claimed two victories at the College Park Regional to advance to the program's 21st Final Four.

Coach Meharg and her staff had five student athletes named to NFHCA All-Mid Atlantic Region Team and six earned All-Big Ten honors.
