LEESBURG. FL -- Maryland broke out the bats on Saturday afternoon as the Terps romped past Bethune-Cookman, 11-3, at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex in THE Spring Games. The Terps moved to 3-5 overall. The Terps scored a season-high 11 runs, their most since beating Penn State, 11-1, last season on April 23, 2021. Maryland racked up 12 hits.
Big Bats

Campbell Kline went 2-for-2, scored two runs, stole three bases, including a steal of home.

Jaeda McFarland was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, two runs scored and a steal of home.

Merissa Borkowski went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
•
Ruby Butler went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Wyche In The Circle

Courtney Wyche threw the first four innings, yielding no hits, no earned runs, allowing four walks and striking out four batters.
Breaking Down The Action
• The Terps scored six runs in the bottom of the first to take control of the game. McFarland started off the action with a triple and she came home on a fielder's choice by
Taylor Okada.
Courtney Wyche doubled home Odaka to make it 2-0.
Kamryn Davis, who ran for Wyche scored came to score making it 3-0.
Ruby Butler's single brought home two runs and Butler scored on
Merissa Borkowski's single as the Terps had their biggest inning of the season.
• Kline stole home in the second inning to push the Terps' lead to 7-0.
• The Wildcats got on the board on an unearned run, scoring on a wild pitch in the top of the third inning.
• McFarland doubled home
Kiley Goff and Borkowski to put the Terps up 9-1 in the third inning. McFarland stole home to make it 10-1 and Kline scored on a sacrifice fly by
Amelia Lech for the 11-1 advantage.
