No. 22 Terps Start Season 6-0 For First Time Ever With 3-1 Win at Campbell

BUIES CREEK, NC – The No. 22 Maryland baseball team is now 6-0 for the first time in program history as it defeated the Campbell Camels 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at Jim Perry Stadium. Ryan Ramsey was strong for the Terps, throwing 105 pitches over seven innings, striking out seven, and allowing just one run.

Nigel Belgrave picked up his first career save for Maryland as the redshirt freshman loaded the bases in the ninth inning but slammed the door shut, getting the final batter to pop up.

The Terps manufactured their first two runs of the game after Bobby Zmarzlak singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and stole third before being brought home by Troy Schreffler Jr on a groundout. In the following inning, Riley Langerman would do the same as he walked and was later brought home by Chris Alleyne on a groundout.

Will Glock pitched a clean eighth inning, highlighted by Zmarzlak throwing out a runner on second on a potential double in the gap.
