COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Maryland Softball program (18-15, 5-1 B1G) will compete against two teams this week, first at home against Coppin State on Wednesday, April 6, followed by a series at Purdue, April 8-10. All games will be streamed on BTN+, with the exception of Sunday's game on the Big Ten Network.
Maryland heads into their game against Coppin State coming off a series sweep over Iowa, their first conference sweep since 2018 (also over the Hawkeyes). The Terps' 5-1 conference play start also matches best start since the same season.
Trinity Schlotterbeck was a star in the circle for Maryland's last game against the Hawkeyes, throwing all seven innings and allowing just two runs on four hits while striking out seven. She also blasted her first career home run in the fifth inning.
Courtney Wyche found success in Maryland's second game with Iowa, notching a 0.00 era with
Jaeda McFarland had a stellar weekend for the Terps, going .500 with six hits (including a double, a triple, and her first homer of the season), the most of the team. McFarland tallied five runs and four RBIs, and finished with a 1.000 slugging percentage, and a perfect stolen base percentage (2-2).
