MADISON, WI -- The Maryland men's golf team wrapped up at the Badger Invitational and the Badger invitational this week in Madison, Wisc.
Five Terps competed in the Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course. Graduate student
Ben Cooper led the Terrapins in the Invitational with his score of 221. He shot a 78 in the first round Sunday, then improved his score by seven strokes to go one under with a 71 in the second round Monday. He went even with a 72 in the final round Tuesday to finish +5 and tied for 52nd.
Freshman
Yang Kuang earned a score of 223 (74-75-74), which was +7. Senior
Jack Woods shot a 229 (74-76-79) and sophomore
Armand Papaziani earned a score of 239 (77-84-78). Freshman
Ali Berker shot a score of 249 (79-83-87).
Freshman
Manato Nakatani competed in the Badger Individual event at TPC Wisconsin. He tied for 20th in the individual standings with his score of 229 (83-73-73).
As a team, the Terrrapins finished in 18th of 18 teams with a score of 911 (303-305-303).
Next, Maryland will compete in the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in Vero Beach, Fla. Oct. 15-16.
