Moving On! Fourth-Seeded Terps Advance To NCAA Quarterfinals With 3-0 Win Over Old Dominion

Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Sammy Popper scored two first-half goals and the No. 4 Terps never looked back from there, besting Old Dominion 3-0 in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals. With the win, the Terps have put themselves into position to play for a chance to go to their 22nd Final Four in program history on Sunday.

Popper capitalized on both of the Terps' two penalty corners to give them the early lead.

Margot Lawn added a goal for the Terps while Alyssa Klebasko starred as keeper, finishing with six saves.

The Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex has now played home to 33 of Maryland's NCAA Tournament games, and played host to three Final Fours (2007, 2010, 2014). The Terrapins are 30-3 in those games and won the 2010 national title on their home field.

Maryland is now 17-5 on the season while Old Dominion finishes with a 14-6 record.
