Terps looking for 14th straight home win

- The 57 first half points marked the most in an opening stanza since Maryland also scored 57 against Longwood on Jan. 19, 2010. Since 1996-97, it marked the 13th time the Terps have put up 57+ points in an opening half. The most in that span was 67 against North Texas (12/23/98) and against UMBC (12/13/97) as well.
- Defensively, Maryland is allowing just 61.6 points per game which ranks 46th nationally. The Terps gave up under 60 to both Mount St. Mary's (53) and Villanova (57), while holding Villanova to a season-low 57 points.
The Terps have won 13 consecutive home games entering Saturday night.

Young was also a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team, the first unanimous pick for Maryland since Cowan in 2019.

Prior to the the extra year of eligibity due to COVID-19, only three players had achieved the feat in the past 20 years. Young's 2,047 career points ranks 2nd among active players in the NCAA behind Max Abmas of Texas (2,630 pts).
