COLLEGE PARK, MD – Five members of the Maryland field hockey program were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's All-Mid Atlantic Region Teams, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Alyssa Klebasko, Hope Rose and Rayne Wright were named to the First Team, while Maci Bradford and Margot Lawn made the Second Team.
Freshman goalkeeper Alyssa Klebasko appeared in 20 games, starting 16 during her first year in College Park. She finished the year with a 1.02 goals-against average and .838 save percentage. The Odenton, Maryland, native tallied eight wins over ranked opponents, including six Big Ten games.Â
Rose, a junior forward, led the Terps in scoring with 13 goals on the season. She clinched All-Big Ten First Team for the first time in her career. Rose saw action in all 23 games for the Terps, totalling over 1,000 minutes on the pitch.Â
Wright was a consistent presence on the Terps' backline all season. She started in all 23 games, tallying nearly 1,200 minutes of game action. Wright, a team captain, earned All-Big Ten First Team for her strong performance during her senior season.Â
Bradford started all 23 games for Maryland as a freshman forward. The Delmar, Delaware, native made a statement during her first collegiate season, leading the freshman with 25 points from ten goals and five assists.
Lawn, a fifth year forward, tallied a team-high point total of 30 from nine goals and 12 assists. The Pasadena, Maryland, native started in all 23 games for Maryland and remained a consistent piece to the Terp offense. She posted a season-high four points in three matches and was honored as a part of the All-Big Ten Second Team.
Maryland field hockey finished the 2023 season 17-6, with a 6-2 conference record. The Terps earned their 35th trip to the dance, along with a top-four seed and host position.
