Terps Finish 4-1 In Mexico With 4-2 Win Over NDSU

PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO – The Terps took down North Dakota State, 4-2, to finish out the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge with a 4-1 record, their best start to the season since 2012, when the Terps opened the year 9-1. Maryland finished the tournament with wins over No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 22 Oregon, BYU and NDSU.

Trinity Schlotterbeck delivered on both sides of the ball, tallying two hits, a run, and an RBI at the plate, as well as throwing 5.1 innings in the circle, recording five shutout innings before giving way to Keira Bucher. Bucher recorded the final five outs of the game.

Maryland had 10 hits in the game, coming from seven different players. Mackense Greico and Michela Jones, along with Schlotterbeck led the way with two hits each. Kiley Goff and Taylor Liguori also drove in runs.

The Terps also showed out on the defensive side with great fielding plays by Campbell Kline, Cameron Davis and Sammi Woods.
