Reefe’s Grand Slam, Wyche’s Complete Game Lift Terps Over LMU, 8-1

Box Score LOS ANGELES -- Delaney Reefe's grand slam – her first collegiate home run – keyed Maryland softball's, 8-1, win against Loyola Marymount on Sunday.
The grand slam was part of a five-run inning in the top of the second that opened up the game for the Terps (2-3). Diamond Williams later smacked a two-run home run in the seventh after Jaeda McFarland's RBI single scored Madison Runyan with two outs.
Reefe had a dominant weekend overall, recording five hits and six RBIs in her first four games at the collegiate level.

Courtney Wyche was sensational on the mound, retiring the first 15 batters she faced while tossing a complete game. Wyche also struck out eight batters and allowed just two hits – a solo home run and a single - throughout the game.

The game was Maryland's second straight matchup against LMU (1-2). The Terps lost a heartbreaker 4-3 in extra innings yesterday before Sunday's win.
