COLLEGE PARK, Md. – University of Maryland Head Coach Michael Locksley announced today that three high school standouts have signed national letters of intent to play football for the Terrapins. Defensive back Kevyn Humes, defensive back Shamar McIntosh and defensive lineman Dimitry Nicolas have joined the program during the late signing period, which began on Wednesday. 
 
The trio of new Terps join the 21 student-athletes that inked NLI's during the early signing period in December to make up Maryland's 2024 class, which is currently ranked No. 31 nationally by Rivals.com. 

With the addition of Humes, Maryland's 2024 signing class now has six four-star signees as the Terps also inked OL Ryan Howerton, DB Brandon Jacob, DB Braydon Lee, WR Mekhai White and RB DeJuan Williams in December.

• "It was great to just sit down with coach [Mike] Locksley and hear from him on the right things to do and talk to the rest of the coaching staff and make me feel at home. I feel like something that really caught on to me is when coach Locks was talking to us, he wants us to achieve stuff after football and the mentorship we have at Maryland will set us up for after football life. Getting an education is the first thing he's worried about, getting us a diploma to be successful in life."
