Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland softball picked up its second win of the day with its 8-0 win over Lafayette on Sunday at Maryland Softball Stadium. It was the Terps' final game of the weekend as the host of the Maryland Softball Tournament.
Maryland (12-14) was led by strong performances from Diamond Williams in the batter's box and Genevieve Ebaugh in the circle. Williams hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning. She hit a home run earlier in the day against Fairfield. She finished the game against Lafayette 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
Ebaugh pitched her second career shutout and third career complete game. She allowed just three hits and struck out four batters.
The Terps ended the game in the sixth inning after Jaeda McFarland and Megan Mikami crossed home plate off an error. McFarland scored three runs and stole two bases in the game. She also hit her 20th career triple to add to her career program record.
Mazie MacFarlane finished the game 2-for-3
Michaela Jones also finished 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run.
Lafayette (3-17) won just one win over Fairfield during the tournament.

- Maryland got on the board in the third inning after Diamond Williams drove home Jaeda McFarland with an RBI single. The run was made possible after McFarland stole second base. Williams advanced to second on the throw home and she was later brought home by Sydney Lewis's RBI single. The Terps took a 2-0 lead in the inning.
- McFarland hit an RBI triple in the fourth inning and Williams hit a two-run home run right after to give Maryland a 5-0 lead.
- The Terps added a run in the fifth inning off an error by Lafayette. Michaela Jones came across home plate and the Terps boasted a 6-0 lead.
- Two runners scored in the sixth inning and the Terps run-ruled Lafayette, 8-0.
