COLLEGE PARK, MD - The University of Maryland softball team will host Boston College for a weekend series this Friday and Saturday. Maryland will play a DH on Friday against Boston College with the first game starting at 3 p.m. and game 2 will start at 5:30 p.m. Lastly, the final game of the series will take place on Saturday, March 9 with first pitch at 12 p.m.
All games between Maryland and Boston College are scheduled to be live streamed via BTN+ and live stats will be available for all three games.
Series history
- Maryland is coming off a 13-0 win against Saint Peter's in the home opener. The Terps had a 13-run fourth inning that helped spark the offense.

- Diamond Williams smashed her sixth home run of the season to kick off the huge fourth inning. She finished the game 2-for-2.
- Mazie McFarlane went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. Sammi Woods and Michaela Jones each finished with two hits, each going 2-for-2 and adding an RBI and a run.
- Genevieve Ebaugh pitched a complete game one-hitter, striking out two. It was her first career shutout and second complete game.

Transfer spotlight
- Coastal Carolina transfer Diamond Williams continues to make her impact on this Maryland team. Diamond has started in all 19 games at first base. She leads the team in home runs with six and RBIs with 17.
- Williams is currently second on the team in batting average with a .305 and she is currently on a four-game hitting streak. Williams is currently hitting .312 with runners on base.
- Utah State transfer Mazie MacFarlane also has made an immediate impact to the Maryland lineup. Mazie has started in 18 of the 19 games for the Terps this season. She currently leads the team in batting average with .326 and is second on the team in hits with 15.
- During the final game of the weekend vs. Oregon, Diamond and Mazie both hit solo home runs to help cut down a four run lead by Oregon but ultimately it wasn't enough to defeat The Ducks. However, this was Diamond's fifth home run of the season and the first home run as a Terp for Mazie.

- Maryland has been lead in the cirlce this season by Bri Godfrey and Courtney Wyche.
- Bri Godfrey joins the Terrapins after playing her freshman year at Marshall. She currently leads the team in wins as she has a 3-1 record after starting in six games. Godfrey currently leads the team in ERA too with a 2.45 and has only allowed 12 runs in 34 innings of work.
- Graduate student Courtney Wyche has been a consistent threat in the cirlce this year for the Terps. She is currently 2-5 with a 2.75 ERA but she leads the team in strikeouts with 48.
