EVANSTON, IL – Maryland softball fell 12-1 to Northwestern in game two of the weekend series at Sharon J. Drysdale Field on Saturday.
Despite getting on the board first on a Sydney Lewis RBI single, the Terps (17-23, 4-9 B1G) couldn't keep up with Northwestern's (25-8, 11-1 B1G) power hitting. The Wildcats hit four home runs in the game, with nine of their 12 runs coming from homers.
Courtney Wyche pitched the first two frames before Keira Bucher took over in the third.
Breaking Down The Action
- Sydney Lewis put the Terps on the board first with an RBI double that scored Jaeda McFarland.
- Northwestern tied it up in the second frame with a RBI single and then went ahead 4-1 with a three-run home run.
