COLLEGE PARK, MD- The No. 52 Maryland Terrapins defeated Rutgers 4-1 in the Terps first of two matches on Saturday. 

Selma Cadar and Kallista Liu opened the match with a 6-3 win in the No. 2 doubles match. #60 Minorka Miranda and Maria Budin followed by taking the No. 1 doubles match 6-2 securing the doubles point for Maryland and a 1-0 lead heading into singles.

Maryland extended their lead in singles, with # 66 Selma Cadar winning the No. 1 singles match 6-4, 6-1. Kallista Liu followed Cadar winning her third straight singles match extending the Terps lead to 3-0 taking the No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-1.

Rutgers got on the board winning the No. 6 singles match to make it 3-1.

Maria Budin shut the door for the Terps, winning the No. 4 singles match in a hard fought 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win.

With the victory over Rutgers Maryland improves it's home record to 9-1.
