Pro Terps Update: Action Heats Up as Calendar Turns To 2025

BRUNO FERNANDO – TORONTO RAPTORS
Wednesday, Jan. 8 - at New York Knicks
Thursday, Jan. 9 - at Cleveland Cavaliers
Saturday, Jan. 11 - at Detroit Pistons

 
Due to a toe injury, Fernando missed six games spanning from Dec. 16 to Dec. 29. After recovering, he was able to suit up against the Boston Celtics on Dec. 31 in which he played for four minutes in his return to action. At this point in the season, Fernando is averaging 3.4 points per game, and 3.0 rebounds per game.
KEVIN HUERTER / ALEX LEN – SACRAMENTO KINGS
Friday, Jan. 10 - at Boston Celtics
Sunday, Jan. 12 - at Chicago Bulls
Tuesday, Jan. 14 - at Milwuakee Bucks


Huerter is currently averaging 9.0 points per game and 3.5 rebounds, which aligns with his most recent performances. Across six appearances from Dec. 12-28, he has averaged exactly 3.5 rebounds and has scored eight or more points in three of those games. He has also been an effective passer, dishing out multiple assists in each of the team's recent contests. In a 129-99 win over the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 5, Huerter scored 16 points and knocked down four shots from behind the arc.

Len earned his third start on Dec. 26 in a game against the Pistons, in which he played for 23 minutes, contributing four points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. In a win over the Mavericks on Dec. 30, he racked up eight rebounds, a new season high. Len's recent performances have boosted his season averages in both points and rebounds.
 
 
JALEN SMITH – CHICAGO BULLS

Smith continues to be an effective player for the Bulls off the bench. He has been a successful scorer and rebounder, scoring in double digits in three of his last five games, along with five or more rebounds in four of the contests. Smith missed the team's matchup against the Bucks on Dec. 28 due to an ankle injury. During the team's first win of the new year on Jan. 4, Smith played a productive game against the New York Knicks, racking up ten points, five rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.
AARON WIGGINS – OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
Monday, Dec. 23 - vs. Washington Wizards
Thursday, Dec. 26 - at Indiana Pacers
Saturday, Dec. 28 - at Charlotte Hornets


Over the past three weeks, Wiggins and the Thunder have been on a roll, having not lost a game since Dec. 17, a 10-game win streak. Wiggins has been playing exceptionally well, with a standout performance against the Knicks on Jan. 3 in which he scored his season-high in points, 19, along with five rebounds, two blocks, and two assists. Wiggins followed up that performance on Jan. 5 with a 15-point outing in a 105-92 win over Boston. He has scored 7+ points in all but one of their last seven games and is currently averaging 9.2 points per game.

Due to Young's outstanding performance in the Winter Showcase Tournament, he was announced as part of the G League's All-Winter Showcase Team. Young played extremely well in the team's last two games of 2024, with a combined 48 points, 17 assists, 12 rebounds, and 8 steals. He is shooting roughly 50% from the field, averaging well over 20 points per game. Young has been inactive since the start of the new year, missing matchups on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4.
Donta Scott – Santa Cruz Warriors
Sunday, Jan. 12 - at Valley Suns
Monday, Jan. 13 - at Valley Suns
Friday, Jan. 17 - at Mexico City Capitanes


At this point in the season, Scott is averaging 7.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Scott played a productive game on Dec. 27 against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in which he racked up nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal. He is currently shooting roughly 55% from the FG range, and 45.5% from the three-point line.
