COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Albi Ndrenika and
Lasse Kelp have been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, respectively. Both played a crucial role in No. 1 Maryland's win vs. No. 14 Washington to move into first place in the Big Ten standings, holding the Huskies to a shutout. The win moved the Terps to first place in the Big Ten standings with one week to go.
Lasse Kelp takes home his first Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week this season, helping anchor the defense to the shutout victory. The Terps held Washington to just two shots on goal as Kelp played all 90 minutes and is yet to miss a minute for the Terps this season.
Albi Ndrenika earned Offensive Player of the Week by scoring the lone goal in Maryland's 1-0 win. With the match tied at 0-0 for the first 83 minutes, Ndrenika put a ball in the back of the net with just a few minutes remaining on the clock to put the Terps ahead.
The Terps hold a 11-0-3 record and remain one of just two unbeaten teams in the nation. Maryland will be back in action Friday night at Michigan State for their regular season finale. The match will be streamed on
