Buzz’s Bunch Game To Be Dec. 28 Versus Old Dominion

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The first-ever Buzz's Bunch Game will be Sunday, December 28 as the Maryland men's basketball team hosts Old Dominion at 6 PM on the Big Ten Network.

The game is part of the annual Buzz's Bunch Camp which was held in August. Campers who take part in the event are invited back along with their families to attend a game for free while also having the opportunity to shoot around and spend time with the players and staff on the court before warm-ups.

The Buzz's Bunch Camp is a day full of friends, fellowship, and fun inclusive activities centered around teaching the fundamentals of Basketball!

Beginning in 2008 when Williams was the head coach at Marquette, Buzz's Bunch is a non-profit organization with the primary objective of helping children with special needs come together socially while gaining a love and appreciation for the game of basketball.

Held each year on the first Saturday of August, the annual Buzz's Bunch camp is dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive experience for local children with special needs. Hosted inside the XFINITY Center, the camp opens the door to new friendships, unforgettable memories, and the powerful impact of connection through the sport of basketball!

Since he began the program, Williams has continued holding the events throughout his stops at Marquette, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, and now Maryland. The completely-free camp has blossomed into a community with more than 300 members across the nation, many of whom remain in close contact with Coach Buzz and many affiliated players.

For those campers and their families who wish to RSVP or those who would like to partner with or make a donation to Buzz's Bunch, please email kayhack@umd.edu.
