COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland football has officially announced the signing of defensive back
Amari Jackson on Friday. Jackson is a veteran cornerback that saw action in 32 games with 28 starts at Boston College over the past four years.
A 5-foot-11, 190-pound redshirt senior from McDonough, Georgia, Jackson started four games for the Eagles in 2025, totaling seven tackles and four pass breakups. In 2024, he started six games and recorded 21 tackles, five pass breakups and an interception.
As a sophomore in 2023, Jackson started all 13 games, totaling 39 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown at Georgia Tech that earned Pop-Tarts Bowl Crazy Good Play of the Week honors.
Jackson saw action in nine games with five starts as a true freshman in 2022, finishing with 21 tackles and multiple pass breakups. A product of Eagle's Landing High School, he was rated a four-star recruit by ESPN coming out of high school.
Jackson has one year of eligibility remaining.
