Maryland drew 22 walks in its 23rd win of the season.
Maryland loaded the bases with free passes in the top of the first, setting Bud Coombs up for a grand slam. The Terps' first hit of the afternoon exploded off their right fielder's bat, left the yard to right-center, and opened a 4-0 lead.
The Terps promptly loaded the bases again in the second inning, giving way to another six-run frame. Costello smoked Maryland's second grand slam in as many innings for his team-leading 15th home run of the season and fourth grand slam. Costello finished with seven RBIs, which are the most by a Terp this season.BUD BLAST 💥#DirtyTerps pic.twitter.com/EYzjzcRy9p

The third inning started the same as the second, and Maryland again took advantage of the bases-loaded opportunity by plating two runs. Costello drove a run home with a sac-fly before Paul Jones II collected his 33rd RBI of the season with an infield single. Jones II logged a team-high three-hit day in the win. The Terps tacked on with a four-run sixth inning. Maryland loaded the bases for the fifth time in the first six innings before Mendez, Coombs and Aden Hill drew bases-loaded walks. The Terps took advantage of 22 Towson-issued walks in the win.MENDEZ GOES YARD AND THAT'S BACK-TO-BACK HOMERS FOR THE TERPS 🚀
