2010 ACC Champions
The road to the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament championship in 2004 could not have been harder. Playing from the No. 6-seed in the bracket, the Terrapins upset No. 3 Wake Forest, 87-86, No. 2 NC State, 85-82, and top-seeded Duke, 95-87 in overtime to claim its first tournament title in 20 years.

The Terps overcame a 21-point first half deficit to defeat the Wolfpack in the semifinal, marking the best comeback in the 51-year history of the storied ACC Tournament.

Then-sophomore John Gilchrist averaged 24.0 points, 6.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game en route to Tournament MVP honors.
