Gossett Fellows Program:
As a Gossett Fellow, student-athletes will become more self-aware and develop skills to become a change agent in their local and global communities. through the following cCurriculum topics include: Leadership Development, Equity and Social Justice, Professional Development, Service Learning, and Career Management.
Student-athletes, after completing the Gossett Fellow program, you will receive a $1,500 honorarium to assist with implementing their use toward your postgraduate career plans. As a Gossett Fellow alums, are asked to you commit to serving as an active member of the M Club, including but not limited to participating in mentorship and sponsorship programs.
InTERPship Academy –
An eight-week program was designed to provide student-athletes with paid internship experience during the course of their undergraduate career. Student-athletes will be paid to work 20 hours/week, while completing educational requirements including but not limited to weekly reflections, informational interviews, and LinkedIn education. Internship opportunities with exist in the UMD athletics department, local businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies are available.
Signature Programs–
Maryland Made signature programs are designed to equip student-athletes with the education, exposure, and experiences to excel as leaders in their professional careers. These programs recruit local employers, campus departments, and affinity organizations for experiential learning activities. Examples of signature programs include the InTERPship Academy, Gossett Fellows Program, and Career Shuttles.
Terps Career Network: An online platform for current and former student-athletes to develop career connections online. Terps Career Network is designed to keep student-athletes aware of internship and career opportunities, while also learning to develop online networking skills.
1:1 Career Coaching Sessions: Student-athletes are encouraged to meet individually with members of the Maryland Made Team in preparation for internships, networking opportunities, University Career Fair and post-graduation success.
