GENERAL FOOTBALL GAMEDAY INFORMATION

BAG POLICY

Fans are encouraged to only bring necessary items into SECU Stadium. Only the following style and size bags will be allowed into the stadium, all of which are subject to search:
  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
  • Small clutch bags, measuring 4.5" x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap
All other bags will not be permitted. A list of prohibited bags includes, but is not limited to: purses, backpacks, drawstring bags that are not clear, briefcases, coolers, fanny packs, luggage, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases and diaper bags. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items that are not permitted into the stadium.
Bag Policy

CHILDREN'S TICKET POLICY

Everyone regardless of age will need a ticket for admission. Children two (2) years of age and under will be provided with a lap ticket, upon request, at the admission gate. They must be seated in the lap of a parent or guardian and not interfere with the sight line of other patrons.

DIAPER BAGS

Only the following size and style of diaper bags will be allowed into SECU Stadium:
  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"

FAMILY RESTROOMS/GENDER INCLUSIVE

Family restrooms are located behind Sections 4, 202 and 307 on all three (3) levels of SECU Stadium. All family restrooms are equipped with diaper changing stations.

LITTLE TERPS, BIG CHEERS

Maryland is making it easier than ever for families to enjoy football together with a brand-new Family Section (Section 212) and the Little Terps, Big Cheers ticket offer: purchase one adult ticket in Section 212 and receive up to two complimentary tickets for kids 13 and under. Nearby, fans will find a new family-friendly concession stand with kid-approved favorites at discounted prices, plus interactive activities like iSpy games, custom gameday buttons, and "My First Terps Game" certificates.
Bag Policy

NURSING MOTHERS

If you are a nursing mother who is in need of lactation accommodations, please email TerpsGameday@umd.edu in advance of your trip to campus. Event staff will work with you to provide you with a private location to breastfeed your infant and/or pump while at the game.

PARKING

Terrapin Club donors who purchase season tickets are eligible for football parking benefits. Eligibility for Terrapin Club parking is based on annual giving level. Parking assignments and lots are not guaranteed to be the same from year to year. Numbered, assigned parking spaces are allocated based on annual giving level and Terpoint priority. PRIORITY ENTRY LANES

Families will also benefit from new priority entry lanes designed to provide extra support for those who may need additional time entering. Select entry points will now feature priority lanes for ADA and Family access, helping those who may need additional assistance and time entering. These lanes will be available at Gates B, E (Student Entry), F, and I, located on the North, West, and South sides of the stadium.

PROHIBITED ITEMS & BEHAVIOR

The Big Ten promotes good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation in helping to maintain a family-friendly environment for fans of all ages, and in supporting the student-athletes, coaches and officials in a positive manner. Profanity or actions to incite, intimidate or threaten others will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition. The following items and/or activities are prohibited during athletic competitions and events:
  • Artificial Noisemakers
  • Backpacks / Bags that are not clear and over 12" x 6" x 12". Please refer to Bag Policy for more information.
  • Dangerous or Disruptive Behavior
  • Fireworks / Firearms
  • Flammables of any kind
  • Illegal Substances
  • Laser Pointers
  • Outside Food or Drink of any kind*
  • Pass-Outs / Re-Entry
  • Pets*
  • Resale of Ticket
  • Sign Poles or Sign Sticks
  • Signage, Apparel or other Items that display, depict or represent recognizable symbols and/or words, including nooses and swastikas, that incite, intimidate, or threaten members of the University of Maryland community.
  • Smoking 
  • Soliciting / Loitering / Trespassing
  • Skateboards / Bicycles   
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Video Cameras
  • Weapons (both real and facsimiles)
*Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.

All persons / belongings are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items which are not permitted into the stadium. Those who violate rules and regulations and any person(s) who commit illegal acts may be ejected from the facility and jeopardize their ability to attend future events.

Disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited at Maryland Athletics events. Disruptive behavior diminishes other fans' and spectators' ability to enjoy the game day atmosphere. Disruptive behavior includes but is not limited to: threats, threatening behavior, interfering with other fans' and spectators' ability to watch the game, and throwing objects. These actions or any other actions deemed disruptive by stadium staff will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the stadium. Other potential consequences include ticket suspension, ticket revocation, arrest and prosecution.

STROLLERS

As part of the Little Terps, Big Cheers pilot program, a complimentary stroller check will be available on the 200-level concourse (stroller entry via Gate B) exclusively for fans who purchase through the Little Terps, Big Cheers offer. For all other fans, stroller check remains available at the Riggs Alumni Center. Little Terps, Big Cheers purchasers entering SECU Stadium with a stroller should be advised that entry will only be permitted through Gate B. Normal security procedures will be enforced, including the Clear Bag Policy and children will need to be removed from strollers for proper screening.

TERPSVILLE FAN FEST

Looking for something fun to do with the family before kickoff? Check our Terpsville Fan Fest, presented by Sardi’s! Located inside Jones-Hill House, Terpsville fan fest will be open three hour prior to kickoff until 30 minutes before. Activities include inflatables, face painters, balloon artists, yard games, photo opportunities, and more! Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

TURTLE TIME WITH TESTUDO

Turtle Time with Testudo will give kids and families the chance to meet and take photos with Maryland's beloved mascot at halftime outside Section 212. Have your camera ready! Only one autograph per person in line.
