Laura Meckley, Associate Director and CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator, isin her fifth year at the University of Maryland. Laura advises Gymnastics, Men's Lacrosse, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Soccer, and Women's Soccer. Additionally she coordinates the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program and serves as the SAAC advisor.
Prior to the University of Maryland, Laura worked as an academic counselor at Kent State University from 2002-2004. She worked at the University of Pittsburgh in the Student-Life and Compliance office as an intern from 2001-2002 and worked as the assistant to the FAR and as an assistant in the office of Academic Support Services for Student Athletes in the summer of 2002.
Meckley earned her Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from Kent State University in 2000. She received her Master's degree in sport management from West Virginia University in 2001. She was a four-year letter winner in field hockey at Kent State University. She is originally from Hanover, Pennsylvania.
