Kathy Fueston is in her sixth year as a member of the ASCDU staff. After earning her Bachelor degree in Psychology at Salisbury State University, Kathy joined the staff of the University of Maryland's Financial Aid Office as a graduate assistant in 1994. While earning her master degree in Education at Maryland, Kathy served as the graduate assistant for Gift Aid, processing athletic and merit scholarships. Kathy joined the ASCDU staff in March of 1998 as the Academic Support Coordinator, after serving as a full-time financial aid counselor after graduation.
Kathy's current primary responsibilities include the advisement of Women's Basketball, Men's & Women's Track and Cross Country, Men's Golf, and Men's and Women's Tennis. She serves as the unit's liaison to campus college advisors, the Registrar's office, the Bursar's office and the Financial Aid office. Kathy serves as the supervisor for 2 Academic Counselors and the C.H.A.M.P.S. graduate assistant. In addition, she coordinates the C.H.A.M.P.S. / Life Skills Program.
