Laura Fellon, Associate Director and CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator, joined the Academic Support and Career Development Unit staff in August 2004. Fellon advises gymnastics, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, and women's soccer. Additionally she coordinates the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program.
Prior to her arrival at Maryland, Fellon served as an Academic Counselor at Kent State University from 2002-04. She worked at the University of Pittsburgh in the Student-Life and Compliance office as an intern from 2001-02 and worked as the assistant to the FAR and as an assistant in the office of Academic Support Services for Student Athletes in the summer of 2002.
Originally from Hanover, Pa., Fellon earned her bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from Kent State University in 2000. She received her master's degree in sport management from West Virginia University in 2001. She was a four-year letter winner in field hockey at Kent State University. She served as team captain her Junior and Senior seasons.
Fellon currently lives in Laurel, Md., with her husband Dan, a civil engineer with ARM Group.
