Allison has been with the ASCDU staff since September 2003 as a Learning Specialist. Prior to Maryland, she worked as a graduate assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned her MA degree in Education with a focus in college athletics and academic achievement in 2003. Prior to her master's degree, Allison earned her BA degree in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley in 2000. In between degrees, she worked as a database programmer for the IST department at UC Berkeley. During her undergraduate years she lettered in two varsity sports, Track and Field and Cross Country. In 1998, she earned the San Francisco Giants' Jeff Kent Women Driven Scholarship, which is given to outstanding female athletes who initially started as walk-ons.
Allison is located at 1608 Comcast Center and serves as the Learning Specialist for all ILP students except for football. She works in conjunction with the Disability Support Services office for any student athletes who receive accommodations for learning disabilities. In addition, she coordinates all tutoring for ILP students. She also teaches two sections of EDCP 108K. Allison and her husband Steve reside in College Park, MD.
