Maryland women’s basketball head coach Brenda Frese of the Maryland women's basketball team welcomed Maryland alum and longtime staff member Joe Glowacki back to her staff as the Director of Video in June 2023.

Glowacki, a 2016 Maryland graduate and former manager for the program, spent six seasons as a member of Frese’s staff after graduation. He served as the Director of Recruiting Operations and the Director of Video.

“We are thrilled to welcome Joe back home,” Frese said. “He is one of the best in the business at his craft.  I'm excited to bring back his creativity and passion that he bleeds for Maryland."

“I am immensely grateful to be coming home to Maryland," Glowacki said. "Being a part of this program was one of the great joys of my life, so I am fortunate to have another opportunity to support such a special team and staff. The future of Maryland women’s basketball is bright and I am lucky to be a part of it.”

Most recently, Glowacki spent the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at Towson. He helped the Tigers to a record of 21-12, a share of the 2023 CAA Regular Season Championship, and an appearance in the WNIT.

In his nine seasons with the program as a manager and as a staff member, Glowacki has been a part of some of the most successful squads in program history. Glowacki helped the Terrapins to the 2014 and 2015 Final Fours, five Elite Eights and 11 conference titles.

Glowacki graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2016 with his bachelor’s degree in English.
