CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Nikki Blassingame scored 18 points on 9-for-13 shooting
to lead No. 25 Clemson to an 89-48 victory over Maryland on Saturday night.
Clemson (7-0, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) jumped out to a 20-2 lead.
Maryland (0-6, 0-1) cut the lead to 29-15, but the Tigers went on an 11-0 run
to make it 40-15. Clemson led 48-21 at halftime and was never in danger in the
second half.
Clemson forced 31 turnovers and had 19 steals, led by Amirah Leonard with
six.
The victory was a school-record 18th straight at Littlejohn Coliseum and
Clemson's largest margin of victory over the Terrapins.
All 12 Clemson players scored. Natasha Anderson had 13 points and Amy Green
had 11. Reserve Nuria Forns added 10.
Maryland was led by Branka Bogunovic and Marche Strickland with 14 points
each.
