COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Senior Adrienne Pavelko (Vienna, VA./Bishop O'Connell) posted two perfect matches as the University of Maryland women's tennis team topped George Washington, 9-0, at the Tennis Bubble.

Pavelko, playing at the No. 5 spot, defeated Megan Goldsmith by a score of 6-0, 6-0. The former all-metro high school player also teamed up with freshman Courtney Perkins (Seattle, Wash./Mt. Ranier) in doubles for an 8-0 win.

Also for the Terps, senior Meg Griffin (Topeka, Kan./Topeka West) and juniors Stacy Walkowitz (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs) and Lorraine Bittles (Nashville, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) swept the top three positions.

At No. 4, sophomore Chrissie Terrill (Plano, Tex./The Hockaday School) improved to 7-0 on the year by smothering the Colonials' Katarina Stastny, 6-2, 6-2. The teams of Terrill-Walkowitz and Griffin-Bittles both won in doubles to also remain undefeated at 6-0.

Maryland improves to 6-1 on the season as George Washington falls to 0-4. The Terps now begin a four-match road trip that takes them to Missouri, Kansas, Florida State and Arizona State. They will take on the Tigers on March 13 in Kansas City beginning at 1:00 p.m.
