TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Four Seminoles scored in double figures as the Florida State Seminoles celebrated "Senior Night" with a 69-63 victory over Maryland in their last home game of the season this evening at the Leon County Civic Center. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak for FSU and improved the Seminoles record to 7-18 overall and 2-13 in the ACC. The loss put Maryland at 5-20 overall and 2-13 in the league.

Florida State trailed only one time in the contest as Maryland scored the game's first point. The Seminoles went on a 11-0 run to take a 12-1 advantage and thanks to 50 percent shooting from the field in the first half, led by as many as 14 points in the first 20 minutes. The four FSU seniors, Tamara Gracey, Val Linley, Arleshia Davidson and Jen Robinson got the starting nod for the Tribe, along with sophomore Brooke Wyckoff. At the 16:10 mark, Robinson dished a pass to Davidson, who scored on a layup. That assist gave Robinson her 383rd assist of her career, making her Florida State's all time leader in the category. Robinson had five assists for the night. Freshman April Traylor was the only player to score in double figures in the first half with 11 off of the bench as FSU took a 37-26 lead into the lockerroom.

Maryland made a run to start the second half as the Terrapins scored nine straight to pull within two at 37-35 with 16:41 to go in the game. Florida State was able to hold on to the lead despite 29 percent shooting in the second half. At the 9:36 mark, the Tribe had regained a double digit advantage at 53-43 on two of Tamara Gracey's game-high seven free throws. She finished with 11 for the game. The Terrapins, however, did not go down without a fight. Florida State led 58-47 with 6:48 on the clock when Maryland scored seven straight to pull within four with under three minutes to play and would get as close as 66-63 with 51 seconds left but FSU hit its free throws down the stretch for the victory.

Traylor and Davidson led the way for FSU with 15 points apiece. Wyckoff added 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

"Tonight was truly a team victory," FSU Head Coach Sue Semrau said. "I was proud of the way we came out and the way we maintained our intensity for the entire 40 minutes. It was also great to see Jen (Robinson) earn the assists record at home and I was happy we were able to get the win for the seniors."

For Maryland, freshman Deedee Warley had 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds while Branka Bogunovic and Tiffany Brown added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
