MARYLAND: Maryland enters tonight's game with an overall record of 13-11 and a conference mark of 6-8. Tonight's contest marks the fourth consecutive game against a ranked opponent for the Terps. Maryland finishes the regular season on Sunday against Florida State at Cole Field House.
NORTH CAROLINA: North Carolina enters tonight's game with an overall record of 20-5 and a conference mark of 10-4. North Carolina defeated Virginia, 85-84 in overtime, in its last game and has won seven of its last eight. Tracy Reid leads the Tar Heels in scoring with an average of 20.5 points per game, and rebounding with an average of 9.1 boards per game. Chanel Wright (13.6 ppg) and Nikki Teasley (13.2 ppg) also average double-figures for the Tar Heels. North Carolina is coached by Sylvia Hatchell, who is in her 12th season with the Tar Heels. Hatchell owns a record of 234-123 at Chapel Hill.

LAST TIME OUT AGAINST CAROLINA: The Terps built an 8-0 lead and never trailed in their 84-62 victory over North Carolina on Jan. 18. Tiffany Brown set a school record with seven three-pointers and scored a career-high 26 points. Kelley Gibson recorded her second career double-double with 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, and Sonia Chase added 13 points. Maryland's 22-point margin of victory was its largest over North Carolina since Feb. 6, 1990, when the Terps won 88-64. The loss was the Tar Heels' worst since Jan. 8, 1992 when they were defeated by Virginia, 83-68.
LOVIN' CAROLINA BLUE: In three career games against North Carolina, Tiffany Brown has converted 13 three-pointers and is averaging 20.0 points per game.
SCORING OUTBURST: Maryland scored a season-high total of 84 points and a season-high 55 points in one half against the Tar Heels on Jan. 18. The 55 points scored by the Terps in the second half is the most in one period since Nov. 29, 1993 when the Terps scored 55 against Howard in Maryland's 103-43 win.
LAST TIME AGAINST NC STATE: Maryland held a 33-30 lead and a 17-11 rebound advantage at the half against the Wolfpack, but NC State scored an opponent season-high 45 points in the second half and won 75-53. Sonia Chase led Maryland with 17 points and Kalisa Davis grabbed 10 rebounds.

MOVIN' ON UP: With her four steals against NC State, Sonia Chase moved into 11th-place all-time in career steals in the ACC with 296. Chase needs only two steals to move into 10th-place and pass Angie Armstrong with 298. Chase's 76 steals ranks the ninth highest season total in Maryland history.
300 x 4: Stephanie Cross led the Terps in scoring as a freshman (322, 11.5 ppg), sophomore (343, 13.2 ppg) and junior (332, 11.9 ppg). Cross has scored 306 points this season and is the first Terp in school history to score more than 300 points in four consecutive seasons. Cross currently stands 11th all-time in scoring at Maryland with 1,292 points.
GOLDEN TOUCH: Kalisa Davis leads the Terps and the ACC in field goal percentage, shooting 60.5 percent and is averaging 14.9 points per game. In 90 career games, Davis has converted 50 percent or more of her field goals in 59 games. Davis had her streak of 23 consecutive games in which she converted at least 50 percent or more of her field goals end against Duke on Jan. 30. Since the Blue Devil game, she has converted 25-of-47 for a 53.2 percent shooting mark.
NEAR THE TOP: Kalisa Davis has converted 359-of-630 field goals in her career for a shooting percentage of 57.0. She currently ranks second all-time in career field goal percentage at Maryland, second only to Jessie Hicks (1989-93) who converted 649-of-1,104 for a 58.8 shooting mark.
KELLEY'S ASSIST: Junior guard Kelley Gibson has dished out a career-high 113 assists this season for an average of 4.7 per game. Gibson has led the Terps in assists in 14 of the last 20 games.
GIBSON LOOKS FOR 15: Kelley's Gibson's 113 assists this season places her 16th all-time in the season assist category at Maryland. Gibson needs six more assists to pass Katrina Colleton (1992-93) and move into 15th-place.
DOWNTOWN BROWN: In ACC play only, Tiffany Brown has converted 31 field goals this season. Of those 31 field goals, 26 have come from beyond the three-point arc. Of Brown's 110 points scored in conference play, 70.9 percent have come from three-point territory.
