Maryland women's basketball coach Chris Weller following the Terps' 68-67 victory over Florida State.
On the game in general: "It's as close a game statistically as you can get. I thought it was going to come down to a foul-shooting contest and I was afraid we might not come out on the best end of that. I'm a little concerned about our points in the paint and I think [Florida State] got in there too much. In the end, I'm sure it helped that we played a couple of tight games earlier. I think we stayed within our abilities and within our capabilities. We stayed with what we like to do. Because of that, we were able to pull it out in the end. I think we stayed within ourselves and maintained some poise. Both teams played fairly well. Neither of these teams are ranked and maybe if one of us were, they might have put the game away and out of reach. But it was a tight game, both teams played hard and right now, a win's a win.
On Maryland's defense: "We were trying to keep [Brooke] Wyckoff, [Latavia] Coleman and [April] Traylor out of the game offensively. Tiff and March? did a great job on Traylor and Wyckoff. They got eight points, but had to work hard for them. Our post game wasn't strong for us tonight. We have to get our posts prepared for that contact inside. We had a lot of buckets under that basket we should have scored. Deedee missed some 'chipees' that should have been easy."
