DURHAM, N.C.- The University of Maryland women's volleyball team lost to Duke University (1-3) 3-15, 15-12, 12-15, 9-15, Friday night at Duke. The Terps (13-14, 4-11 ACC) lost their sixth consecutive match of the season to fall below the .500 mark for the first time since Sept. 8, earlier this year.

The Terrapins got a solid performance from junior middle hitter Willette Dority (Congers, N.Y.). Dority finished the match with season-highs in kills (8), digs (8) and blocks (5). Two Terps tallied double-digit kills for the match as sophomore outside hitter Carey Brennan (Smithsburg, Md.) smacked ten kills along with ten digs and senior middle hitter Nnenna Amobi (Silver Spring, Md.) led Maryland with 12 kills.

The Terps finish the regular season tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. versus Wake Forest. Despite a career-high 26 kills by Amobi, the Demon Deacons won the first meeting of the season over the Terps (1-3) 15-10, 10-15, 11-15, 11-15, Sept. 19 at Ritchie Coliseum.
