INDIANAPOLIS, IND.- University of Maryland swimmer Kelly Bowman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) competed Friday at the U.S. Olympic trials held in Indianapolis, Ind.
In the preliminaries, Bowman finished 42nd in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:05.13. The junior from New York placed 53rd in the 400-meter freestyle Thursday at the trials.
Sophomore Bridget Mallon (Arlington, Va.) will look to qualify for the 2000 Olympic games Saturday when she swims in the 200-meter butterfly. Wednesday in the preliminaries, Mallon finished 33rd in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 1:02.13
