COLLEGE PARK, Md.- Sophomore setter Lindsay Davey (Aurora, Colo.) tallied 33 assists as the University of Maryland women's volleyball team defeated William & Mary (3-0) 15-6, 15-2, 15-13, in the Maryland Invitational Friday evening.
Sophomore outside hitter Carey Brennan (Smithburg, Md.) pounded 13 kills and senior Maren Stuart (Tampa, Fla.) smacked 11 kills and had 4 blocks in the three-game victory for the Terrapins.
With the win, Maryland improves to 6-3 while William & Mary drops to 3-4. The Terps will be back in action tomorrow in the final day of the Maryland Invitational. Maryland faces Morgan State at 11:00 a.m. and faces East Carolina in the final match of the invitational at 5:30 p.m.
In the first match of the day, East Carolina defeated Morgan State (3-0) 15-9, 15-13, 15-6.
