WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The University of Maryland women's volleyball team lost in four games at Wake Forest Tuesday night in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Terps lost in four games to the host Demon Deacons (3-1) 30-18, 26-30, 30-23, 30-28.

Wake Forest's Trina Maso de Moya had an outstanding match, leading all players with 18 kills and three service aces. The 2000 ACC Player of the Year also contributed 13 digs and three blocks to help lead Wake to the win.

The Terrapins had two players in double-figure kills, led by sophomore right side Lynnsy Jones (Castro Valley, Calif.). Jones led the team with 12 kills and also chipped in with 10 digs for the Terrapins. Junior outside hitter Carey Brennan (Smithsburg, Md.) also had a double-double, finishing with 11 kills and a match-best 19 digs.

The loss drops the Terps to 10-11 overall and 6-7 in the ACC. Wake Forest is now 15-8 with the victory and 8-6 in conference play. The Terrapins hit the road again Saturday when they travel to Duke to face the second-place Blue Devils. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
