After rolling past Providence (3-0) 30-24, 30-15, 30-18 in the day's first match, the Terps cruised to another three-game victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3-0) 30-24, 30-19, 30-20 in the nightcap. The victory gave the Terrapins the team title for the tournament while coach Janice Kruger collected her 250th win as coach of the Terps in the victory over the Islanders. In three games at the B&G Properties Invitational, Maryland did not drop a game.
Led by tournament MVP Lynnsy Jones (Castro Valley, Calif.), the Terrapins made short work of their opponents on Saturday. In Saturday's second match vs. A&M-Corpus Christi, three Terrapins recorded double-digit kills as the offense clicked on all cylinders.
