Coogan competed for the Terps during the 1986 and 1987 seasons and was an accomplished track and field athlete as well. He was an All-ACC selection both years and a member of the Terps' team that finished second at the ACC Championships in 1986.
Rincon was a member of the Terps' squad from 1971 to 1975. He competed on the 1972 and 1974 ACC champion teams and was named an All-American in 1974. Rincon returned to Maryland in 1987 and coached the Terps' men's and women's cross country teams for 13 seasons.
Schrader garnered All-America honors in 1968, 1969 and 1970. He was the ACC champion in 1969 and 1970 and was a member of three consecutive ACC champion teams each of the years he competed for Maryland (1968-70).
NC State led all league schools with 13 members on the Golden Anniversary team while North Carolina was second with 12 honorees. Clemson had 10 athletes selected, followed by Wake Forest (7), Duke (6), Maryland (3), Virginia (2) and Georgia Tech with one.
