CLEMSON, S.C. - Junior setter Aimee Huddleston registered a triple double to lead the University of Maryland women's volleyball team over Clemson, 3-1 (30-20, 30-28, 21-30, 30-28), in conference action Saturday night. With the victory, Maryland improves to 14-4, 3-1 in the ACC while Clemson falls to 12-7, 2-2 in the conference.

Huddleston recorded 49 assists, 11 kills and 10 digs to post the first triple double of her career. She is the first Terrapin to accomplish the feat this season. Huddleston also had six blocks and hit .625.

Maryland jumped out to an eight point lead in game one, 17-9, and earned the victory behind five first-game kills from junior outside hitter Sarah Treadwell. The Terps served and hit well en route to the 1-0 lead, notching four aces and hitting .351 as a team. Treadwell finished the game with a double double - 10 kills and 14 digs.

In game two, Huddleston led the team on attack with five kills (.714). The Terps took the game, 30-28, on a kill by Huddleston on game point.

Clemson game back in game three for a 30-21 victory behind eight kills from Liz Beckham. Beckham would finish the match with 16 kills and seven digs. Maryland struggled offensively in the third game, hitting just .128 as a team, but would come back strong and win game four by a score of 30-28.

Leslie Finn led Clemson with a match-high 19 kills and nine digs.

Five starters were in double digits in the kill category for Maryland, including senior right side hitter Lynnsy Jones with a team-high 18. Junior outside hitter Maria DiLivio and sophomore middle blocker Stephanie Smith notched 11 and 14 kills, respectively.

Sophomore middle blocker Rachel Wagener led the Terps in blocks with a match-high eight, and senior libero Fiona DeFreitas posted 10 digs and a career-high five assists.

The Terps return to Comcast Center Gymnasium on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match with NC State. Next weekend, Maryland continues its conference schedule with matches against Florida State (at Ritchie Coliseum) at 5 p.m. on Saturday and against North Carolina (at Comcast Center Gymnasium) at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
